Basic Firearms Class Description - Nov. 8, 2025 11:00 AM
Whether you're a complete beginner or just need a refresher, this 2.5-hour course at the Hi-Desert Rod and Gun Club in Morongo Valley is designed to provide a comfortable and engaging learning experience. Embrace the excitement and sense of accomplishment as you learn the fundamentals of shooting.
This course begins with an interactive session focused on the basics of firearm safety and shooting techniques. Afterward, you'll spend time on the range perfecting your basic shooting skills with live fire practice. With two certified NRA Pistol instructors guiding you every step of the way, you'll receive personalized attention and expert coaching throughout the session. Please note, this course is designed for pistols rather than revolvers—don't worry, we have pistols available for you to use.
If you don’t own a firearm, no problem! We can provide one for you, or you’re welcome to bring your own. Additionally, we provide eye protection, ear protection, and ammunition to ensure you're fully equipped for the class.
At the end of the class you will have the opportunity to shoot different guns that are on the California Roster. We will also be available to answer questions on How to get a CCW?
