This class is where you begin to truly understand your firearm and develop the confidence, skills, and mindset needed to become a safe and capable firearm owner. It is designed to help you move beyond the basics with structured training that builds confidence, accuracy, and consistency.

Basic Handgun Course

 

Master the core principles of firearm safety and handling in this comprehensive course. Perfect for beginners or those looking to refresh their skills after a long break.

The class covers essential safety rules, proper range etiquette, key California laws, foundational techniques, and concludes with a live-fire session.

 


Frequently Asked Questions

Are There Any Prerequisites For Signing Up For Your Courses

Basic Firearm Safety Course
There are no prerequisites required to enroll in our Basic Firearm Safety Course. However, all participants must be legally eligible to possess and handle firearms.

 Initial and Renewal CCW Courses

These are not beginner courses. This does not teach you HOW to get your CCW. This is the actual qualifying course for your County. You must own your firearms and they must be registered in your own name. You must have started your paperwork through Permitium with your designated County.

Drawing From The Holster

This is a class to train you on drawing from the holster. You must have an OWB (Outside The Waistband Holster) for your firearm. It must be Kydex and provide good retention. You will also need a sturdy belt.

 

How Should I Dress

Range appropriate attire is long pants or shorts. No low cut tops. A baseball cap. Close toed, comfortable shoes.

Do I Need Eye and Ear Protection

Yes you do. Electronic hearing protection is preferred. Let us know if you need to borrow some. Eye protection can be your sunglasses or regular eye glasses. If you don't have either let us know if you need to borrow some.

Can I Take A Class If I Am Pregnant or Nursing

Pregnant Women and Nursing Mothers are encouraged to discuss their participation in any firearms course with their physicians prior to the first lesson.

They should discuss the effects of exposure to loud sounds and airborne lead particulate. If any students are pregnant or nursing an infant, they should not handle any chemicals, lubricants, or solvents unless they have discussed doing so with their physician.
