What is the process for getting my CCW?
- Go online to your Issuing Agency (County)
- Fill out the initial application and submit your documents
- At that point you can sign up for the 16 hour required class for an INITIAL CCW
- You will be contacted by your IA for an interview
- You will be fingerprinted and photographed
- Your background check will begin
- After your 16 hour class you will submit the documentation proving that you have completed the class and passed the shooting qualification
How long will the process take?
Every issuing agency is different. You can ask at your interview.
Will they talk to my neighbors during background check?
The detective may contact your neighbor. Every IA is different.
Will I get a refund if I don't pass the background check?
No.
