Perfect for beginners, this 4-hour outdoor fundamentals class provides an excellent introduction to the basics. Held at the Hi-Desert Rod and Gun Club in Morongo Valley, it’s designed to ensure a comfortable and engaging learning experience.

The experience kicks off with an engaging 1-2 hour session covering the fundamentals of shooting, firearm safety, and situational awareness. Following this, you’ll spend 2 hours on the range honing your basic shooting skills. With two certified NRA instructors by your side, you’ll benefit from personalized attention and expert guidance throughout the entire class.

Don’t own a firearm? No worries! We’ll provide one for you, or you’re welcome to bring your own. If you would like to use our firearms, please let us know in advance. We also provide eye and ear protection if needed.

Please arrive 15 minutes early, by 7:45 AM, to prepare for the class.

What to bring: Eye protection, ear protection, your firearm, water, and snacks. It can get hot outside, but we’ll do our best to keep you in the shade during the class.

Ammunition will be provided. If you require anything other than 9mm or .380 caliber, please notify me in advance to ensure availability.

Wear comfortable clothing, but please avoid sandals, open toed shoes, tank tops, or low-cut shirts. A baseball hat is also recommended.

Fee: The non-refundable course fee is $100. If you are unable to attend after making your payment, please contact me, and I will apply the amount toward a future course. Additionally, there is a $20 cash range fee required for HDRGC, which is due upon arrival.
